Broadlane Acquires HELP Equipment Planning

Consulting firm’s capabilities complement Broadlane’s Capital Equipment Solutions

Dallas - April 30, 2010 - Broadlane,the leading end-to-end cost-management partner for healthcare providers, has acquired Health Equipment Logistics and Planning Inc. (dba HELP Equipment Planning), a 27-year-old consulting firm whose global project expertise will further expand Broadlane’s ability to address clients’ total equipment needs.

HELP’s capabilities and services encompass virtually every aspect of medical equipment project management, including inventory, evaluation, appraisal, budget specification, development and coordination, procurement, expediting, installation oversight, training and accounts payable.

The acquisition further strengthens Broadlane’s Capital Equipment Solutions group, whose services include capital budgeting, quote review, purchase events, asset management and equipment planning; all of Broadlane’s capital equipment products are supported by a suite of custom services.

Since being founded in 1983, HELP Equipment Planning has completed projects globally, including in Belgium, Canada, Costa Rica, Japan, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the U.K., and the U.S. The relationship with Broadlane took off six years ago.
